Ethel Lundstram: Feb. 8, 1932 Ogema, Wis.

Dear Friends,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I know there are a number of places that are not doing well. Mostly on the West coast. Southern California is still on fire and now there has been an Amtrak train derailment in Washington state. As I'm typing this I just heard about it on Monday. They have not said how many people have lost their lives yet. It sounds like it was something that is very horrific.
Anyway, here is a chain letter from Ethel Lundstram;

As always, for those that find it hard to read, here is what it says:

I wonder how long this chain letter was around. Did Grandpa send the nine letters out?

  Norris dam is completed- thousand attended the dedication ceremonies at Norris, Tenn., and the picture shows the scene as the last sluice gate in this section of the TVA project was closed.- A. P. Wirephoto.

What an exciting time watching the dedication of this dam.
Is this dam still being used today and how much work has it had over the years?

Unknown Swedish letter: April 5, 1928 Ogema, Wis.

Dear Friends,
I hope you had a good weekend.The weather around here had it's ups and downs. It all depends on where you live. On Saturday there was one very close lightning strike that made me yell a little. We don't think it struck anything. I guess someone was trying to get my attention for some reason.
Anyway, here is the next letter. I do not know who it is from or even sure what it says, exactly. It is in Swedish. I did my best to try to translate it. I'm not going to type it up because a lot of the words I'm not 100% sure I got right. I will tell you that I'm pretty sure it is a chain letter for prosperity. If you know Swedish maybe you can figure it out better then I can.

Good luck trying to figure out the words. I hope you can do I better job then I did.I tried to use Google translator and a Swedish/English dictionary. Between the two things I did get a few words right.
I almost was not going to show it but then I thought someone might be up to the challenge of translating it.

The marriage has begun. In the second one there are three children. Two girls and a boy.
The one in the last picture looks like she was one of the bridesmaids.

Weberg: Jan. 3, 1924 Ogema, Wis Chain Letter

Dear Friends,
I hope this letter finds you in a fine mood, looking forward to a nice long weekend. I know I am.
Anyway here is the next letter. It's the first letter of 1924. And it's a chain letter. I guess it does not matter when you live this kind of  thing  is always there in one form or another. Then it was in letter form. Today forwards and things being past around in one form or another on the computer.
This one was sent from a person with the last name Weberg. I do have a few pictures of three different Webergs but I'm not sure which one this is from.

I'm not going to copy this one. To many names. I suppose if you click on it you will be able to see all the names. I will copy the instructions for you tho.

I wonder, do you think Grandpa did this? I think he did. The question is would you?

Reading some of the names on it I wonder if it was real. Can you see a General, a Colonel, Mayor or Hospital doing a  letter like this? I don't. But who am I to say if there is any truth in any of these kind of things.
